Officers of the Grotto
The men who lead, serve, and safeguard the order
The Grotto is led by a team of elected and appointed officers, each entrusted with a specific role in keeping the organization running with integrity, order, and good fellowship. Officers are installed at the beginning of each term in a formal ceremony and take a solemn oath to serve the membership faithfully.

Leadership
The presiding leader of the Grotto. Chairs all meetings, upholds the order's constitution, and is the highest authority within the local Grotto.

Second in command. Presides in the Monarch's absence, and serves as the arbiter of questions and matters of order within the Grotto.

Third in the leadership line. Oversees the conduct of all ceremonial proceedings and ensures the Grotto's traditions are carried out with dignity.

Appointed roles
Leads the Grotto in prayer at meetings, visits members who are ill, and presides over memorial observances. Holds the Bible in trust for the order.

The Monarch's special messenger. Directs all processions, assists in opening and closing the Grotto, and coordinates between officers.

The Chief Justice's special messenger. Stationed inside the entrance to ensure all who enter are properly credentialed members in good standing.

Captain of the Guard
Guards the outer entrance to the Grotto. Verifies membership credentials before anyone enters and reports any unfamiliar visitors to the Master of Ceremonies.
